A careful selection of highly refined base oil provides a higher natural viscosity index, which provides improved year-round lubrication; better resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation, which will prevent deposit buildup, increased viscosity, and sludge; and improved low-temperature performance.

Viscosity modifiers for multi-grade oils are formulated by Archer in Council Bluffs, Iowa, for industry-leading shear stability. This allows the oil to stay in grade longer. It also allows customers to safely extend oil drain intervals when coupled with oil analysis.
